What does the system cut? Bolts: With this system we make head and foot plates, connector plates, rings and rounds – i.e., everything you need. Our plasma cutting systems can handle steel up to 60 mm thick. The technology gives us great advantages, especially for thinner sheets of metal.

What are the advantages? Bolts: Plasma cutting gives us higher cutting speeds compared to oxy-fuel cutting. We can also use it to cut stainless steel and aluminum and for marking components. Due to the reduced heat effect, our parts experience significantly less distortion than with flame cutting.

Your system uses advanced Kjellberg plasma technology. How was this decision made? Bolts: At that time and as it is equipped now, the system was not in the KNUTH Program. These changes were made per my requirements in collaboration with the KNUTH cutting experts. The system needed to be compact and ergonomic, but also high-performing in terms of capacity and precision. For instance, the new Q1500 plasma source offers Q-Hole technology. It made high-precision holes possible with a 0.75:1 (diameter : material thickness) ratio!
