Electronically controlled servo quill feed with large touchscreen display

• The boom can be positioned in height by the operator by touching the corresponding icon; the system automatically releases and fixes the hydraulic clamping, switches the lifting motor and takes the set end stops into account
• Drill head and column can be clamped/released together or separately
• Boom can be moved vertically without losing the spindle-to-bore alignment
• The machine has 2 gear steps, and the rpm can be infinitely varied and displayed at the monitor
• A servo motor provides infinitely variable control of the quill feed - upon reaching the preselected drilling depth, the quill automatically returns to the starting position
• The control software also provides recommendations for rpm and feed in relation to the desired drill size
• The desired drilling depth and, if necessary, short chip breaking stops are set electronically on the clear display
• The radial drilling machine also has an automatic tapping function as standard
• Depending on the tap size, the appropriate pitch and recommended speed are automatically adopted from the internal database
• The tapping process takes place with automatic feed
• The spindle speed is synchronised with the thread pitch and the depth stop now limits the thread depth
• Once the preselected depth is reached, the spindle changes the direction of rotation and the quill automatically returns to the start position
• Measuring units for input and display can be selected by the operator (mm or inch)
• The powerful coolant system is activated on the touchscreen
• Various alarm screens warn the operator in case of operational errors and display information on the operational state
